This learning event will provide a comprehensive overview of the legal definition of 'consent' in Victoria. It will also cover the following topics:
Age of consent laws
'Sexting' offences, including the distribution of child exploitation material (commonly referred to as child pornography)
Consequences for committing a criminal offence
Where to get help
- strategies for the teaching of consent in an age-appropriate way
- greater understanding of the law relating to consent, sexting and respectful relationships.
