Self-paced course in Canvas

This learning event is right for you if you are a senior leader looking to explore the role of principal.

The Emerging principal program is a blended program that has a self paced online component with interactive webinars, as well as three face to face days at ISV. The program is intended to provide participants with an engaging, highly experiential, informative overview of the role of a principal, opening their eyes to the range of opportunities in their current workplace, which could grow their leadership knowledge and skills and allow them to be better prepared for the position should they be successful in the future.

Principal preparation programs should help new principals to understand and develop effective delegation and coaching practices, including how to work with others to agree on clear expectations, how to monitor delegated responsibilities, and how to use constructive feedback processes to develop the leadership capabilities of others.

An emerging principal program is a great opportunity to explore the role of a Principal as well as develop a network with senior leaders.
