This learning event is right for you if you are new to organising and/or leading performance and development in your school. You might be a new learning area leader, or responsible for performance and development across a sub-school or whole school.
Performance and development are about creating a culture of teacher quality, feedback and growth for all teachers within your school. There is a set of inter-connected and inter-dependent processes which, when aligned and supported, contribute to a thriving learning culture. Having a comprehensive understanding of the research-informed context for performance and development is crucial to managing this role. The Australian Teacher Performance and Development Framework highlights what is necessary to build a coherent and effective approach to performance and development. It describes the characteristics of an effective performance and development cycle and outlines the four essential elements that are critical for success. Implementation of the Framework is a requirement of all schools.
